Jennifer Dianne (Gentry) Beaty

JENNIFER DIANNE GENTRY BEATY, age 78, of 320 Depot Street, Roxboro, NC passed away peacefully Sunday evening, March 3, 2024 at her brother’s home.

Ms. Beaty was born November 11, 1945 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late John Ed & Frances Louise Cole Gentry.  She was retired from Collins & Aikman Corp. and was of the Baptist faith.

Dianne led the Roxboro Christmas Parade for nine years starting sometime around 1968 on her white stallion, Mack.  She enjoyed animals, caring for her family, working in her yard, and NASCAR racing.

Surviving is a sister, Brenda Gentry Whitt, nieces & nephews, Robbie Gentry & wife, Elizabeth, Keith Whitt, both of whom she considered her boys, Tammy W. Harris & husband, Robbie, Scott Whitt & wife, Michelle, Darian Whitt & wife, Tara, sister-in-law, Jane Towery Gentry, and a host of great-nieces & great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Beaty is preceded in death by a brother, John Franklin “Frankie” Gentry.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at a later date.   

The family would like to thank Lorene, Bristol, and Grace for helping to take care of Dianne’s fur babies.
