Winona Marion (Neff) Evans

WINONA NEFF EVANS, age 94, of 223 Windsor Drive, Roxboro, NC passed away peacefully Saturday morning, November 25, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Evans was born June 25, 1929 in Rockingham County, VA, daughter of the late James & Agnes Showalter Neff and wife of the late Landis Chandler Evans.  She was retired from Looker Real Estate Agency in Tampa, FL and was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Harrisonburg, VA.

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Cowell & husband, Harry of Leasburg, NC and a brother, J.C. Neff.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Evans is preceded in death by sons, Marcus Chandler, Steve Simmers, and a brother, Bill V. Neff, Sr.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 in the Person Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Sammy Allen officiating.
