WILLIAM BRYSON “SKEETER” TATUM, age 58, of Timberlake, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, January 30, 2024 at his home.
Mr. Tatum was born October 8, 1965 in Durham County, NC, son of Sydney Lewis Tatum & Jackie Tatum and was husband of Cynthia Deann Platts Tatum who have spent 31 years together. He was a self-employed carpenter and previously worked as a lineman for AT&T.
Skeeter enjoyed working, fishing, trips to the beach, watching NASCAR, grilling out, and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are two children, William Bryson Tatum, II, Brandy Tatum, four grandchildren, Kollen Gunter, Nathaniel Newton, William Newton, Luna Tatum, two brothers, Louie Tatum & wife, Deborah, Brian Tatum & wife, Amy, three sisters, Sheree Tatum Strople, Pam Couch Prevatt, Lisa Underwood, special friends, Dennis D’Adamo, Willie Brooks, and a host of other friends.
Mr. Tatum is preceded in death by a sister, Karen Couch.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at a later date.
