William Raeford Morris

WILLIAM RAEFORD MORRIS age 95, formerly of 1490 Gentry Dunkley Road, Roxboro, NC, died Tuesday morning, October 18, 2022 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart, VA.

Mr. Morris was born October 15, 1927 in Guilford County, NC son of the late Osie Daniel & Emma Odessa Garner Morris and husband of 45 years to the late Mary Magdeline Lee Morris.  He was retired as a self-employed auto mechanic, was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, and was a veteran of the US Navy.

Surviving are six children, Debra Morris, Randall Morris & wife, Nancy, Brad Morris & wife, Penny, Lisa Thompson & husband, Wayne, Felicia Moss & husband, Antonio, Cynthia Anita Morris, eight grandchildren, brother, Irvin Morris, and sister, Dorothy Taylor.  

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Morris is preceded in death by a sister, Louise Taylor.  

The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services.
