William Duane Martin

WILLIAM DUANE MARTIN, age 53, of Oxford, NC passed away Thursday night, October 30, 2025 at Duke University Hospital.  Born September 28, 1972 in Adair Co., OK, son of the late Robert Lee Martin & Donna Louise Rymel.

Prior to becoming disabled, he was employed with UNC as an electrician.

William enjoyed praying with strangers, his job, working on cars, building things, riding his crotch-rocket, and was an avid fan of Duke basketball and the Green Bay Packers.  He had a love for music of all genres but especially Rock-N-Roll and enjoyed going to concerts.

He is survived by a daughter, Kimrey Montoya & husband, Nick, grandson, Liam T. Montoya, step-mother, Sandra Martin, a brother, niece, and nephew.

A gathering of family & friends will be held from 2:00 till 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services.
