WILLIAM FOREST EVANS, JR. age 75, of 526 Cavel Chub Lake Road, Roxboro, NC died Thursday night, November 4, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Evans was born December 31, 1945 in Person County, NC, son of the late William Forest Evans, Sr. & Sallie Sue Wrenn Evans and was husband of 57 years to Melba Lou Shull Evans who survives. He was retired from Piedmont Community College after 7 years of service and was a member of Bethel Hill Baptist Church.
William enjoyed working, mowing his yard, cracking jokes, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Tammy Norris & husband, Cecil of Hurdle Mills, NC, Mark Evans & wife, Tammie of Roxboro, NC, Wendy Bowes & husband, Phillip of Alton, VA, seven grandchildren, Ashley Forbis & husband, Jeffrey, Casey Seamster & husband, Dustin, Morgan Harris, Kaley Gentry & husband, Dylan, Kaleb Evans, Emily Bowes, Evan Bowes, four great grandchildren, Paisley Forbis, Shania Poole, Jayden Parker, and Carson Bowman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Bethel Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be Danny Chambers, Kaleb Evans, Jeffrey Forbis, Dylan Gentry, Dustin Seamster, and Gene Wolfe.
