William Cecil Carter

WILLIAM CECIL CARTER, age 83, of Timberlake, NC passed away Friday afternoon, December 27, 2024 at Peak Resources Hillsborough. 

Mr. Carter was born August 30, 1941 in Person County, NC, son of the late William Alec & Addie Mae Walker Carter and was husband of nearly 35 years to the late Ruth Lane Cates Carter.  He was former owner/operator of Carter’s Upholstery and was of the Baptist faith.

Cecil enjoyed fishing, going for rides on his truck and motorcycle, mowing his lawn, working on cars, and spending time with his family & friends.   

Surviving are two children, Ronnie Carter, Lisa Regan & husband, Danny, three step-children, Felicia Briggs, Triscica White, Johathan Briggs, two sisters, Katie Clayton, Darlene Clayton & husband, Tony, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2024 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
