Wendy Leigh (Wilkins) Wrenn

WENDY LEIGH WILKINS WRENN, age 54, of 91 Kylasu Lane, Roxboro, NC passed away Friday evening, May 23, 2025 at her home. 

Mrs. Wrenn was born December 1, 1970 in Halifax County, VA, daughter of William Robert & Cheryl Lynne Formichelli Wilkins and was wife of 29 years to Samuel Keith “Sandy” Wrenn, all of whom survive.  She was a devoted employee of The Courier Times for 20 years, was presently employed with The United States Postal Service in Roxboro, NC for 10 years, and was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Wendy enjoyed spending her time volunteering (Red Stocking Revue, Bible Schools, school functions), family trips to the beach where she choreographed family talent shows at the end of the week, being on the lake and teaching her family to ski, listening to many genres of music, dancing, playing softball & volleyball, water & snow skiing which she was very good at, and spending time with her family who she dearly loved.

Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are three children, William Wrenn (Jessica) of Roxboro, NC, Amber Wilson (James) of Norwood, NC, Lauren Norris (Andrew) of Hurdle Mills, NC, sister, Emily Wilkins (Jason) of Roxboro, NC, two nieces, Emma & Ella Contrada of Roxboro, NC, six grandsons, Aiden Wilson, Chance Sasser, Ethan Norris, Mason Wilson, Samuel Norris, and Waylon Wrenn.

Mrs. Wrenn is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William & Helen Formichelli, and paternal grandparents, Cecil & Francis Wilkins.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Wooten officiating, with William Wrenn, Tim Chandler, and Kenny Carr also speaking.  The family is receiving friends and guests at the home.
