Walter Howard Elliott

WALTER HOWARD ELLIOTT, age 87, of Roxboro, NC passed away Monday morning, September 25, 2023 at Duke Regional Hospital.

Mr. Elliott was born April 22, 1936 in Granville County, NC, son of the late James William & Mary Magdaline Moss Elliott and was husband of the late Mary Belle O’Briant Elliott.  Prior to his retirement from Athol Manufacturing, he was employed with Tar Heel Chevrolet, and Wade Grocery, after retirement he worked with Davis Whole Sale.

Walter enjoyed hunting (especially rabbits), fishing, working, and bluegrass music.

Surviving are two children, Keith Elliott and companion, Lisa Poole, Amanda Elliott, three grandchildren, Christian Brooks, Kaitlyn Redd, Lee Smith & wife, Brandi, four great-grandchildren, Kinleigh Redd, Kaisen Redd, Kaislie Redd, Ila Smith, and brother, Clyde Elliott & wife, Lorene. 

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Elliott is preceded in death by a son, Howard David Elliott, siblings, Flora Tingen, Wilma Wilkins, Ray Elliott, John Elliott, and Ed Elliott.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at a later date.
