Tonya Kaye (Ragans) Wilson

TONYA KAYE RAGANS WILSON, age 62, of 462 Tom Webb Road, Roxboro, NC passed away Tuesday morning, February 3, 2026 at her son’s home.  Born March 22, 1963 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Ivey Crandall & Betty Lou Parker Ragans and was wife of 39 years to the late Ricky Doyle Wilson.  She was the Person County Register of Deeds where she had worked for 40 years, and was a member of Oak Grove Church.

Tonya was President of the Historical Society, and former member of the Garden Club.  She enjoyed mowing her lawn, planting, and tending her flowers, working on the farm, and spending time with her granddaughter.

Surviving in are two sons, Travis Wilson, Trent Wilson & wife, Melissa, granddaughter, Gracelyn Paige Wilson, brother, Todd H. Ragans, sister, Tina R. Oakley & husband, Kevin, and four nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by a brother, Ivey Glenn Ragans.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. John Pritchard officiating.  Interment will follow in the Burchwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 6:30 till 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026 at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Pallbearers will be Linwood Cates, Glenn Glasscock, Todd Long, Patrick McGuinn, Randall Thompson, and Kenneth Torain.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Church Fellowship Hall Fund c/o Rose Wilkerson, 222 Fairway Drive, Roxboro, NC 27574.
