"Tommy" Richard Thomas Roberson, Jr.

RICHARD THOMAS “TOMMY” ROBERSON, JR. age 59, of 1416 North Main Street, Roxboro, NC died Saturday afternoon, April 10, 2021 at Person Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Roberson was born April 13, 1961 in Person County, NC, son of the late Richard Thomas Roberson, Sr. & Virginia Christine Shelton Roberson who survives.  He was previously employed with Roxboro Glass and was a member of Longhurst United Methodist Church.  Tommy enjoyed restoring old cars and collecting diecast cars.   

Surviving in addition to his mother are a sister, Yolanda Roberson of Roxboro, NC, and his four cats, Boots, Spooky, Itty, and Flossie. 

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021 in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Amanda Dixson officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Centers, Mike Dixon, Harry Lee Oakley, Jr., Scott Stewart, and Brad Walker.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to Longhurst United Methodist Church, 265 Providence Road, Roxboro, NC 27573.
