Teresa Darlene (Martin) Spencer

TERESA DARLENE MARTIN SPENCER, age 67, of 570 Providence Road, Roxboro, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, April 22, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side. 

Mrs. Spencer was born October 16, 1957 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Edward Matthew & Janie Vernell Roberson Martin and was wife of 48 years to Anthony Rickman “Tony” Spencer who survives.  She was retired from Wal Mart and was of the Baptist faith.

Teresa loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed trips to the beach, lighthouses, dolphins, cats & dogs, doing jigsaw puzzles, and sitting by the pool.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Christy Smith & husband, James, Martin Spencer & fiancée, Michelle Wiseman, five grandchildren, Augusta Vaughn & husband, Kevin, Haley Gabriel, Ethan Gabriel, Telsa Spencer, William Spencer, great-granddaughter, Mackenleigh Vaughn, and sister, Tina M. Oakley.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spencer is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Todd Martin.

The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services and other times at the home.  The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Colby Arrowood, Gage Arrowood, Ethan Gabriel, James Smith, Martin Spencer, and Kevin Vaughn.
