Sylvia Ann (Shotwell) Eller

SYLVIA ANN SHOTWELL ELLER, age 83, of 1640 Shotwell Street, Roxboro, NC passed away peacefully Monday night, June 16, 2025 at Duke Regional Hospital. 

Mrs. Eller was born August 6, 1941 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Zannie Marshall & Effie Jane Mills Shotwell and was wife of 45 years to the late Donald Wilson Eller.  She was retired from Revlon, previously worked for Crown Crafts, was a homemaker & a military wife, and was a member of Overflow Worship Center.

Sylvia enjoyed collecting Angels and bells, working in her flower beds, and listening to her wind chimes.

Surviving are three daughters, Sandra Jesus & husband, Sam of Columbus, GA, Pamela Santos & husband, Margarito of Roxboro, NC, Jennifer Eller & husband, Chris Parker of Durham, NC, eleven grandchildren, Amber Eller, Alayna Santos, Joshua Jesus & wife, Natasha, Becky Jesus, Adam Jesus & wife, Samantha, Braylon Eller, Zane Parker, Josh Campbell, Christopher Parker, Jr., Skylah Parker, Brandon Parker, ten great-grandchildren, Ciara Jesus, Jaden Jesus, Adriana Williams (Ziggy Legrone), Daniel Jesus, Samara Eller, Andon Jesus, Sullivan Fish, Selena Williams, Mia Jesus, Dominic Jesus, and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eller is preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy S. Yarbrough, Joanne Shotwell, and brother, Arch Shotwell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Chase Chambers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 1:00 till 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. 

Pallbearers will be Adam Jesus, Jaden Jesus, Josh Jesus, Brandon Parker, Ruben Solis, and Adrian Williams.  Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Campbell, Christopher Parker, and Margarito Santos.
