Suzanne (Stone) Carver

SUZANNE STONE CARVER, age 82, of 222 Clayton Avenue, Roxboro, NC died Wednesday morning, July 29, 2020 at Duke Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Carver was born October 5, 1937 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late James Thomas & Annie Lee Gates Stone and was wife of 67 years to Samuel Malcus “Ouchie” Carver who survives. She was retired from Irvin Industries and GKN and was a member of Roxboro Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Kelly M. Carver & wife, Vickie, Samantha C. Emmert & husband, Curt, six grandchildren, Kelly Carver Jones, (Josh), Scott Carver, (Lindsay), Blake Emmert, (Haley), Courtney Emmert, (Chris), Ashlyn Emmert, and Savannah Emmert, seven great grandchildren, Finley Carver, Pike Carver, Nathan Jones, Briley Emmert, Evelyn Emmert, Abigail Emmert, and Hayzel Emmert, two brothers, Wade Stone, and Kenneth Stone & wife, Rhonda.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carver is preceded in death by two brothers, James Martin Stone, and George Wesley Stone.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2020 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Dupre Sanders officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests from 10:00 till 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
