Susan Gene (Herpelinck) Mattis

SUSAN GENE HERPELINCK MATTIS, age 75, of Roxboro, NC passed away Monday morning, February 24, 2025 at the Hock Family Pavilion. 

Mrs. Mattis was born October 4, 1949 in Erie County, PA, daughter of the late Howard Ward & Norma Gene Crawford Herpelinck and was wife of nearly 48 years to Daniel Robert “Dan” Mattis who survives.  She was retired from Liberty Savings Bank in Northglenn, CO and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.  Susan loved cats and had a love for Arizona.

Susan’s family left Pennsylvania for Arizona at age two then she and Dan returned to Pennsylvania and then to Colorado before retiring in Person County.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a brother, Douglas Herpelinck.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.
