SHARON KAY RICHARDSON WHITNEY, age 75, of 2250 Halifax Road, Roxboro, NC died Thursday afternoon, January 21, 2021 at her home.

 

Mrs. Whitney was born August 19, 1945 in Stanislaus County, CA, daughter of the late James Carroll & Ivy Marie Everett Richardson.  She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.  Sharon enjoyed flower gardening, board games, and spending time with family. 

 

Surviving are three children, Lisa Dawn Stringfellow, Sonya Shea Willard, Jerry Lee Foster, seven grandchildren, George Cox, Joshua Foster, Nichole Maxwell, Gary Maxwell, Jr., Kiowa Maxwell, Cody Maxwell, Brittany Croslow, eleven great grandchildren, Kadence Foster, Joshua Foster, Jr., Preston Foster, Dylan Matthews, Tatum Martinez, William Phillips, Jackson Phillips, Payden Maxwell, Rhylan Maxwell, Hayden Maxwell, Grayson Maxwell, two sisters, Sandra Mazza, and Leanora Richardson.

 

In addition to her parents Mrs. Whitney is preceded in death by a son, Gary James Maxwell, Sr., grandson, Ronny Dean Cox, Jr., and a number of siblings.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 till 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the home.
