Sharon Lee (Heatherly) Vaughan

SHARON LEE HEATHERLY VAUGHAN age 72, of 2030 Mt. Harmony Church Road, Rougemont, NC, died Sunday afternoon, April 9, 2023 at the Hock Family Pavilion.

Mrs. Vaughan was born February 9, 1951 in Durham County, NC daughter of the Clarence William & Mary Alice Jones Heatherly and was wife of the late Willie Yancey Vaughan, Jr.   She was a homemaker and was a member of Allensville United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Vaughan enjoyed watching soap operas, singing, dancing, being outside, spending time with her grandchildren, and worshiping her Lord.

Surviving are two daughters, Janice V. Mooney & husband, Ryan of Rougemont, NC, Tammy Vaughan Pullen & husband, Bryant of Raleigh, NC, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Vaughan is preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Dickerson, Kathy Heatherly, and brother, Vernon Heatherly.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in the Allensville United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Barry Chambers officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests at the home of Janice and Ryan Mooney, 2030 Mt. Harmony Church Road, Rougemont,NC.
