REBECCA JEAN “BECKY” DONEVAN, age 62, of 182 Everette Avenue, Roxboro, NC passed away peacefully Thursday morning, August 28, 2025 at her home.
Ms. Donevan was born May 22, 1963 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Phillip Vincent Donevan & the late Carrie Odell Stone Whitt. She was retired from North American Aerodynamics and was of the Baptist faith.
Becky enjoyed shopping, traveling, going to the beach, helping others, and she cherished every moment spent visiting with her son, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and pet dog.
Surviving are a son, Rocky Bowes, fiancée, Rodney Weaver, four grandchildren, Courtney Bowes, JayLee Poole, Ethan Bowes, Alec Bowes, great-granddaughter, Courtlynn Durden, siblings, Phillip “Dink” Donevan, Jr., Rita D. Wilhelm, Sherman Donevan, Juanita Whitt Dunn & husband, Todd, and pet dog, Sandy.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Donevan is preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Lynn “Susie” Donevan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Mike Whitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests from 10:00 till 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Bowes, Caleb Donevan, Joe Durden, Jamie Rickman, Nathan Smith, and Blake Whitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Boyd and Larry Weaver.
