"Randy" Milton Randal Stone

MILTON RANDAL “RANDY” STONE, age 73, of 254 R.B. Dawes Road, Timberlake, NC passed away peacefully Friday night, June 6, 2025 at Person Memorial Hospital. 

Mr. Stone was born March 10, 1952 in Durham County, NC, son of the late Milton Thornton & Gracie Hattie Dunn Stone and was husband of 44 years to Sharlane Blalock Stone who survives.  He retired from Spuntech Industries in 2017 and previously worked at Collins & Aikman until it’s closing.  He was a member of Somerset Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Baptist Men, and served as Usher.

Randy enjoyed crafting, wood working, visiting folks, and being with family & friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a step-daughter, Rita Marie Tobey, and nephew, Jason McCoy.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stone is preceded in death by a daughter, Randa Stone, and sister, Sandra Stone McCoy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2025 at Somerset Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Gearhart officiating.  Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 1:00 till 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. 

Pallbearers will be W.C. Blalock, Wyatt Blalock, III, Allen Farman, Barry Garrett, Alex Lowery, Steve Lowery, and Spencer Yarboro.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Johnson, and Bill Medlin.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Somerset Baptist Church, 141 Somerset Church Road, Roxboro, NC 27573 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 5171 Glenwood Ave., Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27612 or the American Diabetes Association, 1300 Baxter Street, Suite 150, Charlotte, NC 28204.
