Obituary
RANDY LYNN LONG, age 69, of 602 Frank Street, Roxboro, NC passed away Tuesday morning, January 25, 2022 at Person Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Long was born July 3, 1952 in Person County, NC, son of the late John Rupert Long & the late Maggie Lucille Saunders Long. He was retired from Collins & Aikman Corp., Person County Parks and Recreation, and was of the Baptist faith.
Randy enjoyed Nascar, the Green Bay Packers, cats, old cars, and watching Perry Mason and Leave it to Beaver.
Surviving are a daughter, Miranda Lynn Long of Pelham, NC, three brothers, Billy L. Long & wife, Devona, Allen “Snook” Long & wife, Carol J., Danny D. Long all of Roxboro, NC, and a host of other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents Mr. Long is preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Merritt Long and a sister, Frances Long West.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2022 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Norman Talley officiating.
