RANDOLPH FORSYTH BASS, age 88, of Timberlake, NC passed away peacefully Thursday morning, June 19, 2025 at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Bass was born September 1, 1936 in Durham County, NC, son of the late John Almon & Nannie Ruth Pope Bass and was husband of 53 years to the late Dorothy Marie Bullock Bass. He was retired from Professional Business Forms, was of the Baptist faith, and was a veteran of the US Army.
Randolph enjoyed anything that had to do with an automobile, watching NASCAR, doing the flight simulator, and collecting diecast.
Surviving are two children, Chris Bass of Roxboro, NC, Lisa B. Ward & husband, Allen of Rougemont, NC, three grandchildren, Josh Bass & wife, Ashley, Kaitlyn B. Jent & husband, Bobby, Devan Ward, three great-grandchildren, Mason Bass, Jackson Bass, Cameron Jent, sister, Sandra B. Justice, and brother, Robert Wayne Bass.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Bass is preceded in death by three brothers, David Harum Bass, John Alton Bass, James Kenneth Bass, and sister, Penny B. Ennis.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2025 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services.
