Pauline (Johnson) Dunn

PAULINE JOHNSON DUNN, age 90, of 1309 Dale Street, Roxboro, NC died Tuesday afternoon, December 15, 2020 at Person Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Dunn was born September 16, 1930 in Mecklenburg County, NC, daughter of the late Lusky Johnson & Willie Lee Wilkerson Johnson Tuck and was wife of 38 years to the late Roy Thomas Dunn.  She previously worked for Fo-Arce, Alice’s Beauty Shop, retired as a self-employed hairdresser, and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.  Pauline enjoyed shopping, crafts, sewing, making and sending cards, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are a son, Timmy Ray Dunn & wife, Kim of Roxboro, NC, eight grandchildren, Dempsey C. Dunn & wife, Tonya, Brandon Ray Dunn & wife, Jaclyn, Jeff Tippett & wife, Megan, Kevin Tippett & wife, Brooke, Ayla Dunn, Eden Dunn all of Roxboro, NC, Brian Thomas Tippett & wife, Tish of Concord, NC, Angelique Dunn & husband, Bryan Wayne of Chesapeake, VA, eight great grandchildren, Ethan Dunn, Nathan Dunn, Lucas Dunn, Georgia Dunn, Dalton Tippett, Jacob Tippett, Gracie Tippett, Gavin Tippett, two step-great grandchildren, Grace Rogers, Grant Rogers, two brothers, James R. Tuck & wife, Melva of Timberlake, NC, Tony Lee Tuck & wife, Linda of Virgilina, VA, and sister, Magdelene J. Trickey of Quintion, VA. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dunn is preceded in death by a daughter, Linda D. Tippett, two sons, Terry Thomas Dunn, Roy Dempsey Dunn, sister, Betty Tuck Knight and great granddaughter, Gabbie Linda Tippett.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating.  The family ask that dress please be casual.  The family will receive friends and guests from 12:30 till 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Timmy & Kim Dunn, 1084 Jack Hambrick Road, Roxboro, NC.  Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Dunn, Lucas Dunn, Nathan Dunn, Brian Tippett, Jeff Tippett, and Kevin Tippett.  Honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Duncan, Brandon Dunn, Dempsey Dunn, and W.A. O’Briant.
