Patti Ethylene (Sasser) Bowen

PATTI SASSER BOWEN, age 83, of Durham, NC passed away Wednesday morning, June 5, 2024 at her home. 

Mrs. Bowen was born May 13, 1941 in Wayne County, NC, daughter of the late Granger Hazel & Anna Cora Jones Sasser.  Upon her retirement from Duke Regional Hospital after 32 years of service she worked for Clegg’s Termite & Pest Control.

Mrs. Bowen grew up on a farm and worked hard all her life.  She enjoyed cooking, flowers, working, going to movies, reading (she always had a book in her hand), and spending time with her grandchildren.   

Surviving are two daughters, Anna Bowen, Melissa Bowen, both of Durham, NC, two grandchildren, Leia Neely, Trystan Hennessey, sister, Hazel Knowles, and the father of her children, Milton Bowen.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowen is preceded in death by two brothers, Marion Jones Sasser, and Granger Burnell Sasser.
