PATRICIA MARLENE LOWERY HUDSON, age 80, of 1559 Olive Branch Road, Roxboro, NC passed away Tuesday night, January 7, 2025 at the Hospice Home of Burlington.
Mrs. Hudson was born May 28, 1944 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Elvin Franklin & Cordie Lee Evans Lowery and was wife of 59 years to the Rev. Carl Jackson Hudson who survives. She was a homemaker and previously worked as a mail carrier and was of the Baptist faith.
Patricia loved her Lord. She enjoyed reading (especially the Bible), sports, watching basketball, going on vacation with Carl, planting flowers, and saving souls.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Marla Hudson Long Averette & husband, Charles, four grandchildren, Jordan Alexander Hudson, Falon Long Perkins & husband, Tyler, Jenna Long Williams & husband, Cody, Grant Joseph Long & fiancée, Logan Gregory, five great-grandchildren, Neville Joe Perkins, Sunny Leanne Williams, Eden Elizabeth Hudson, Shepherd Elias Perkins, Toby Joseph Long, two sisters, Melody Reed & husband, Jay, and Hilda Faye Fitch.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudson is preceded in death by a daughter, Twila Carlene Hudson, and brother, Jack Randall Lowery.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025 at Olive Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Lowery and Marla Hudson Long Averette officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests from 1:00 till 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be Charles Averette, Jordan Hudson, Grant Long, Mark Lowery, Tyler Perkins, and Cody Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Campbell, and Brad Porrin.
