NADINE ROGER BAKER CARVER, age 90, of Roxboro, NC passed away Monday morning, February 2, 2026 at the Hock Family Pavilion. Mrs. Carver was born July 10, 1935 in Rockingham County, NC, daughter of the late Luther & Elsie Baker and was wife of 28 years to the late William Clarence Carver. Upon retirement from the Person County School System, she worked at O’Ryan’s, and was of the Baptist faith.
Nadine enjoyed sewing, crafting, flower gardening, bird watching, and being with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two children, Tammie Carver, Doug Carver & wife, Liz, three grandchildren, Brandon Carr (Rhiannon Pattison), Mandy Carr, Stacy Payne & husband, Frank, eight great-grandchildren, Makayla Carr, Preston Carr, Kenzen Pruitt, Ashton Carr, Kyrstin Carr, Zeke Wiggins, Bailey Pattison, Bennett Berkley, and a great-great granddaughter, Harper Paige.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Carver is preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Dinnwiddie, granddaughter, Misty Gilliland, sister, Irene Stone McKay, and brother, Billy Baker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Dr. M. David Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Baker, Preston Carr, Dale Carver, Jackie Gentry, Jeff Gentry, Frank Payne, and Zeke Wiggins.
