Michael Allen Lupton

MICHAEL ALLEN LUPTON age 77, of 19 Dove Lane, Roxboro, NC died Saturday morning, November 12, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Lupton was born June 8, 1945 in Craven County, NC, son of the late Woodrow Preston Lupton & Ruth May Grant Allen and was husband of Rhoda Elizabeth Gosnell Lupton who survives.  He was a lineman retired from Mastec, was a member of Theresa Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Army where he served in Vietnam.

Mike enjoyed going to the races, hunting and hanging out with the guys at the Woodsdale Hunting Club, and once took flying lessons.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Rhoda Michelle Green of Stokesdale, NC, Pamela L. Jackson, Darin Preston Lupton both of Roxboro, NC, two grandchildren, Timothy Smith of Greensboro, NC, Victoria Leigh Jackson of Roxboro, NC, great granddaughter, Serenity Smith, two brothers, Jerry Lupton of Roxboro, NC, and Cary Lupton of TX.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lupton is preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Lupton and Larry Lupton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in the Theresa Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 12:30 till 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Pallbearers will be Tim Bowes, Victoria Jackson, Alex Les Morrell, Sr., Alex Les Morrell, Jr., Timothy Smith, and Keith Watts.
