Matthew H. Johnson

MATTHEW H. “MATT” JOHNSON age 55, of 5696 Mt. Harmony Church Road, Rougemont, NC died Wednesday afternoon, May 6, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Johnson was born October 27, 1964, in Fairfield County, OH son of the late William Joseph Johnson, Jr. & Eldina Marie Russell Johnson who survives and was husband of nearly 20 years to Frances Ann “Fran” Schings Johnson who also survives.  He was an avid outdoorsman, military collector and enthusiast, enjoyed his pet animals, wildlife, and taking care of his granddaughter whom he loved dearly.  Matt never met a stranger.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are a daughter, Lauren Meredith of Rougemont, NC, son-in-law, Jeffrey Meredith, brother, Jeffrey Johnson & wife, Pam Patula of Amanda, OH, and granddaughter, Valentina Meredith.

There are no services planned at this time.
