Martha Gail (Turner) Galleo

MARTHA GAIL TURNER GALLEO, age 76, of Durham, NC passed away Saturday night, May 4, 2024 at Durham Ridge Assisted Living Center. 

Mrs. Galleo was born April 19, 1948 in Durham County, NC, daughter of the late James Wesley & Dorothy May Jones Turner and was wife of the late Thomas Rocco Galleo.   She was a retired hairdresser and was of the Christian faith.

Martha enjoyed flower gardening, crafting, music, drawing, painting, cake decorating, and trips to the beach.   

Surviving are three children, Kimberly Jackson of Durham, NC, Chris Jackson & wife, Nancy of Butner, NC, Heather Jackson of Chapel Hill, NC, five grandchildren, Kelly Jackson, David Janik, Taylor Janik, Stephen Turner, Jordan Jackson, two great-grandchildren, Cody Frazier, Grace Lynn Janik, sister, Carolyn Thornton & husband, Johnny of Durham, NC, and brother, David Turner & wife, Carolyn of Raleigh, NC. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Galleo is preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Turner.

The family will receive friends and guests from 2:00 till 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services.  Interment will be in the Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.
