Obituary
MARK ALLEN HOADLEY, age 58, of 54 Cates Edwards Road, Timberlake, NC passed away Sunday evening, August 27, 2023 at Duke University Hospital.
Mr. Hoadley was born September 2, 1964 in Fayette County, WV, son of the late Larry F. & Peggy Adams Hoadley and was husband of 35 years to the late Cindy Renee Steiner Hoadley. He was employed with Merck Sharp & Dohme, was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Army.
Mark had a love for grilling, traveling, camping, working (especially on cars), fishing, miniature golf, and studying aviation.
Surviving are a son, Jeremy Hoadley & wife, Kelly, seven grandchildren, Evan, Elysa, Emaya, David, Kaison, Dani, Jeremy, Jr., four siblings, Shelly, Sandy, David, Robin, and lifelong & special friend, Keith Whitt.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Dr. M. David Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Bohannon, Caleb Foust, David Hoadley, Keith Whitt, Jim Workman, and Evan Yorks.
