Mark Anthony Ashley, Sr.

MARK ANTHONY ASHLEY, SR., age 66, of 4004 Allensville Road, Roxboro, NC, passed away Tuesday morning, March 31, 2026 at his home.  Mr. Ashley was born August 30, 1959 in Person County, NC, son of the late Lonzie Cletus & Eunice Evelyn Marston Ashley and was husband of 46 years to Holly Gwen Roach Ashley who survives.  He was retired from Piedmont Community College as a Security Guard after 32 years of service, currently worked as a supervisor for Person County Maintenance, and was a member of Longhurst United Methodist Church.

Mark enjoyed fishing, camping, listening to Bluegrass music, and riding along with the deputies and wrecker drivers.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Angel Ashley Latta & husband, Brandon, Mark Anthony Ashley, Jr. & wife, Brandi, Jake Rickman (Ashley), sister, Donna A. Pleasants & husband, Tommy, ten grandchildren, Zoie Henderson, Aubri Ashley, Hunter Ashley, Abigale Tate, Braden Brooks, Bennett Brooks, Kyzer Ashley, Dakota Ashley, Avery Latta, Colton Latta, and Wyatt Ashley.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ashley is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kinleigh Ashley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2026 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services and other times at the home.  

Pallbearers will be Bobby Adcock, Corey Bailey, Donnie Fuqua, Chris Latta, Brooks Pleasants, Matt Porterfield, LeBryan Street, and Chad Vaughan.
