Linda Gail (Ashby) Clayton

LINDA GAIL ASHBY CLAYTON, age 74, of 1531 Red Oak Court, Roxboro, N.C. died Sunday night June 18, 2023 at Duke Regional Hospital. 

Mrs. Clayton was born November 1, 1948 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Ryland Morris Ashby & Mary Elizabeth Jones Rudder and was wife of the late Bobby Samuel Clayton.  She was retired from Personal Home Care. 

Linda enjoyed flowers, reading, and trips to the mountains. 

Surviving are a daughter, Kimberly P. Daniel & husband, Sidney of South Boston, VA, three grandchildren, Zackary R. Daniel, Gabriel L. Daniel, Ashton K. Daniel, and brother, Chelves Ashby & wife, Mattie of Roxboro, NC. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Clayton is preceded in death by a son, Michael Kirk Perkins, and brother, Delgie Ray Ashby. 

The family will receive friends and guests from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the home of Chelves & Mattie Ashby, 470 Tanglewood Circle, Roxboro, NC 27573.
