Lewis Carsby Boyd

LEWIS CARSBY BOYD age 83, of 13013 Virgilina Road, Roxboro, NC died Wednesday afternoon, March 25, 2020 at the Hock Family Pavilion.

Mr. Boyd was born April 5, 1936, in Granville County, NC son of the late Reuben & Hallie Jones Boyd and was husband of Joyce Ann Lowery Boyd who survives. He was retired from farming, was a former employee of Nello Teer, and was a member of High View Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Carl Boyd (Cathy), Karen B. Whitfield (Tim), all of Roxboro, NC, two sisters, Alma Garrett of Norlina, NC, Glennis Botelho of Alexandria, VA, four grandchildren, Terri Whitfield (Keith), Derek Whitfield (Courtney), Amy Newton (Terry), Blaine Duncan ( Kelly), three great grandchildren, Ethan Newton, Emmery Duncan, Madison Duncan, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyd is preceded in death by four brothers, A.P. Boyd, Johnny Boyd, Melvin Boyd, Woody Boyd, and two sisters, Nellie Englebright, and Ethel Boyd.

Due to the COVID-19, services will be scheduled for a future date.
