Larry Timothy Long

LARRY TIMOTHY LONG age 73, of 755 Oak Grove-Mt. Zion Road, Roxboro, NC died Friday morning, October 28, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Long was born January 25, 1949 in Person County, NC, son of the late Clemon Dee & Hurley Mae Holt Long.  He was a retired brick mason and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, dogs, horses, and softball.

Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer L. Fulford & husband, Todd of Timberlake, NC, Gina L. Mangum & husband, Jeff of Rougemont, NC, two granddaughters, Kailey Mangum, Kelcey Mangum, two brothers, Rollie Dee Long & wife, Linda, Rudy Long & wife, Margaret, two sisters, Ann Pergerson, and Angela Solomon.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Long is preceded in death by a sister, Alma Sue Clayton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October, 31, 2022 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Herbert Brown and the Rev. Daniel Pantoja officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 12:30 till 2:00 prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. 

Pallbearers will be Scott Clayton, Todd Compton, Daryl Duncan, Ray Gentry, Kendall Long, Bob Rice, Patrick Solomon, and Al Stevens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church c/o Rose Wilkerson, 222 Fairway Drive, Roxboro, NC 27574.
