KAY FRANCIS NEWTON REAVES, age 77, of 1197 Cluster Springs Road, South Boston, VA died Sunday evening, January 23, 2022 at her home.
Ms. Reaves was born July 4, 1944 in Newport News, VA, daughter of the late George Washington Newton & the late Mable Mildred Campbell Newton. She was a retired nurse’s assistant and was a member of McGhees Mill Baptist Church.
Kay enjoyed playing games on her phone, crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two children, Scott Williams, Staci W. Epps both of South Boston, VA, six grandchildren, Shawn Williams & wife, Lindsey, Katelyn Reeves & husband, Jessie, Kristen Serrano & husband, Jamiey, Allison Barnett & husband, Alexander, Adam Epps & wife, Chelsea, Teaghan Williams, and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Reaves is preceded in death by four sisters, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022 at McGhees Mill Baptist Church with the Pastor Frankie Reaves officiating. Interment will follow in the Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests from 1:00 till 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Barwick, Mike Daniel, Adam Epps, Jamiey Serrano, Ryan Shytle, and Shawn Williams.
