Jeremiah "J.R." Randall Whitt

Jeremiah Randall Whitt, affectionately known as "JR", age 45 of Milton, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

JR was the beloved son of Glen Conilla & Wilma May Bowes Whitt.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Glen "Candy" Whitt, Jr. & wife, Susie, sister, Tammy W. Day & husband, Michael all of Milton, NC, his cherished nieces and nephews, Glen Whitt, III "Spud" of Pelham, NC Crystal Mise of Leasburg, NC, Ariel Williams of Pelham, NC, Lori Gay "Pooka" & fiance, Andrew Everette of Semora, NC, and Michael Day, Jr. & fiance, Megan Powell of Charleston, SC.

JR also held a special place in his heart for his great-nieces, Serenity Whitt, Disney Whitt, Sasha Whitt, and Bambi Williams, and great-nephew, Jason "Trey" Gay, all of whom he loved and adored.  He took great joy in spending time with them, often playing, joking, and creating lasting memories.

JR was predeceased by his beloved Yorkie Sam, whom he adored for 18 years.

JR will be remembered for his friendly disposition and kind demeanor.  He was rarely seen without a smile and had a way of brightening the day of everyone he met.  In his younger years, he enjoyed riding horses, and throughout his life, he found happiness playing the piano and listening to bluegrass and gospel music.

Though JR held various jobs and titles over the years, one of his greatest joys was being an uncle and great-uncle---a role he treasured deeply.

He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services and other times at his parents home, 466 Snatchburg Road, Milton, NC.  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. John Pritchard officiating.

Pallbearers will be Michael Day, Jr., Andrew Everette, Ronnie Long, Daniel Terry, Brandon Whitt, Gene Whitt, Jr., Harry Whitt, Jr., and William Whitt.  Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Whitt, and Jason "Trey" Gay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Caswell County ASPCA, 836 County Home Road, Yanceyville, NC 27379.
