HENRY STUART PARKER, JR., age 70, of Roxboro, NC passed away Saturday afternoon, January 18, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Parker was born November 20, 1954 in Mecklenburg County, NC, son of the late Henry Stuart Parker, Sr. & the late Martha Heriot Venning Parker and was husband of 17 years to Susan Rogers Parker who survives. He was retired as a self-employed CPA and was a member of New Brook United Methodist Church.
Stuart was a fan of music and loved the Grateful Dead. He enjoyed fishing, trips to the mountains & beach, fireworks, and was an avid UNC fan. He loved keeping in touch with his old classmates and was a great story teller.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Ashley Parker, sister, Patty Cobbett & husband, Bob, two step-daughters, Abbey G. Loftis & husband, Chase, Morgan G. Clayton & husband, Dustin, mother-in-law, Jane Moore Rogers, two grandchildren, Brian Henry Toller, Sarah Jo Toller, three step-grandchildren, Abel Loftis, Charleigh Loftis, Harper Clayton, niece, Becky Elmore & husband, Matt, nephew, Scott Elmore, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Parker is preceded in death by a son, Henry Stuart “Hank” Parker, III, granddaughter, Eva Marie Toller, and his step-mother, Sarah I. Parker.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at New Brook United Methodist Church with the Pastor Jay Locklear officiating. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the church.
