Harry "Spanky" Junior Oliver

HARRY JUNIOR “SPANKY” OLIVER, age 73, of 1421 Longhurst Street, Roxboro, NC passed away Sunday afternoon, March 16, 2025 at his home. 

Mr. Oliver was born April 30, 1951 in Person County, NC, son of the late Ivey Banks & Ellen Sue Bowes Oliver and was husband of the late Rebecca Slaughter Oliver.  He was retired from Piedmont Maintenance & Services after 25 years of service.

Surviving are two children, Rose O. Victoriano & husband, Jose, James Childress, five grandchildren, Lydia Hatfield, Steven Victoriano, Jason Victoriano, Jessica Dew, Justin Clack, five great-grandchildren, Stephen Hatfield, Tanner Dew, Logan Dew, Mason Dew, Ava Dew, honorary daughter, Bonnie Childress, pet dog, Jack, and a host of nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Oliver is preceded in death by his siblings, Henry Oliver, Lennie Oliver, Roy Oliver, Gracie Pleasant, Inez Horner, fiancee, Deborah Childress, and nephew, George Oliver.

Per Harry’s wishes, no services are planned.
