PAUL FRANKLIN “FRANK” SHOTWELL, age 78, of Roxboro, NC passed away Sunday afternoon, January 21, 2024 at Duke Raleigh Hospital.
Mr. Shotwell was born June 9, 1945 in Person County, NC, son of the late Jesse Alfred & Mattie Burns Roberson Shotwell and was husband of 60 years to Barbara Taylor Shotwell who survives. He was a self-employed landscaper, a member of Montwood Baptist Church, and was retired from the NC Army National Guard.
Frank loved being outdoors on his tractor and doing yardwork. He also enjoyed watching old westerns, and watching the weather so he could keep Barbara updated, and he loved his dog “Lulu.”
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Wendy S. Holeman & husband, Phillip, grandchildren, Matthew Holeman, and Jessica Holeman.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shotwell is preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Clifton Shotwell.
A private Celebration of Life service will be conducted at a later date. The family will receive friends and guests at the home.
