FARRIS HUFF, age 83, of Rougemont, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, March 3, 2026 at his home. Mr. Huff was born January 22, 1943 in Person County, NC, son of the late Littleton Daniel & Essie Oakley Huff and was husband of 15 years to Cindy Cook Huff who survives. He was retired from farming, was previous owner/operator of Huff Grocery, and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.
Farris enjoyed hunting, his dogs, farming, running his store, and spending time with his family & friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Wayne Huff, Lisa H. Martin & husband, Darrin, three grandchildren, Daniel Huff & wife, Olivia, Dallas Huff (Logan Redd), Caitlin Martin (Hunter Phelps), and two sisters, Frances H. Clayton & husband, David G. Clayton, and Delaine H. Mangum & husband, Elvin Mangum, Jr.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Huff is preceded in death by brothers, Melvin Huff, Roy Huff, Eldridge Huff, Clyde Huff, and sisters, Irene Gregory, Hazel Clayton, Esther Lunsford, and Serena Weaver.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Sinclair officiating.
