Eunice "Pinky" (Abbit) Dickerson

EUNICE HATTIE “PINKY” ABBITT DICKERSON, age 88, of 200 Peachtree Street, Roxboro, NC died Friday afternoon, September 18, 2020 at her home.

Mrs. Dickerson was born September 18, 1932 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Willard Benjamin Abbitt and Eunice Hattie Winstead Abbitt and was the wife of the late J. D. Dickerson. Mrs. Dickerson was also preceded in death by a son, W. B. Dickerson.  She was the president of Abbitt Dickerson Properties, and was a member of Roxboro Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Diana D. Jeffries and husband, Tink of Timberlake, NC, Jean D. Dickerson Braswell and husband, Kevin of Roxboro, four grandchildren, Keith Ray Ferguson, Jacob Dickerson, Morgan Dickerson and Jason Jeffries and wife, Michele, Daughter-in-law, Sharon Carver Dickerson, special friends and neighbor, Riley Oakley and the # 1 hairdresser, Betty Thaxton.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the Person Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Betty Hale officiating. The visitation will be from 1:00 to 1:45 on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel. The family will receive friends and guests at the home of Mrs. Dickerson, 200 Peachtree Street, Roxboro, NC.

Pallbearers will be Keith Ray Ferguson, Jacob Dickerson, John Bullock, Wayne Churchhill, Lee Henderson and Donnie Thaxton.
