ETHEL MARIE MORRIS BOWES, age 80, of 193 Ralph Bowes Road, Semora, NC died Friday morning, September 25, 2020 at Person Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bowes was born May 2, 1940 in Granville County, NC, daughter of the late Ronald Buck Morris & Myrtle Bowling Morris and was wife of the late Ralph Beam Bowes. She worked in textiles for many years before retiring from Country Club Convenience and was a member of Theresa Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Ralph D. Bowes & wife, Lisa of Semora, NC, seven grandchildren, Christopher Bowes, Stephanie Bowes & husband, Waylon Wilson, Darrell Bowes & girlfriend, Kelly Hudson, Matthew Bowes & fiancée, Shannon Wilkerson, Austin Bowes, Cheyanne Wilson, Savannah Wilson, five great grandchildren, Tyler Bowes, Landon Bowes, Laci Bowes, Shane Bowes, Grant Bowes, sister, Myrtle Elaine Bentley, brother, Joe Morris & wife, Carolyn, and daughter-in-law, Theresa H. Bowes.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bowes is preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Beam Bowes, Gary Allen “Nussie” Bowes, grandson, Ronald Sean Bowes, two sisters, Joyce Ann Deal, Gladys Morris Smith, three brothers, Ronald Junior Morris, Roy Morris, and Melvin Morris.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Theresa Baptist Church with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating. The family will receive friends and guests prior to the service from 1:30 till 3:00 p.m. at the church and other times at the home of Stephanie Bowes, 224 Wilsons Creek Road, Roxboro, NC. Interment will follow in the Bethel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Austin Bowes, Brian Bowes, Chris Bowes, Darrell Bowes, Matthew Bowes, Merritt Bowes, Carlos Grimes, and David Long.
