Elsie Dinsmore (Anderson) Morris

ELSIE DINSMORE ANDERSON MORRIS, age 91, of Hillsborough, NC died Saturday evening, July 11, 2020 at Person Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Morris was born July 25, 1928 in Halifax County, NC, daughter of the late Henry Brown Anderson & Grace Elizabeth Ganzert Anderson and was wife of 64 years to the late William Ray Morris, Sr.  She was retired from GTE and enjoyed the beach, teaching piano, and singing with the Duke Chapel Choir.

Surviving are eight children, Linda Morris Fulcher of Wilmington, NC, Janet Morris Hale of Laurel, IN, Cynthia Morris Lowrance of Hope Springs, NC, Debra Ann Morris of Roxboro, NC, Sandra Morris Underwood & husband, James of Garner, NC, Robert Gregory Morris, Sr. & wife, Erin of Hillsborough, NC, James Leonard Morris & wife, Deanna of Omaha, NE, Jeffrey Scott Morris & wife, Adriane of Raleigh, NC, seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Morris is preceded in death by a son, William Ray Morris, Jr., sister, Grace Truman Anderson Mabe, two brothers, Henry Brown Anderson, Jr., and Dr. Judson Truitt Anderson.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in the Maplewood Cemetery with the Rev. Donnie Paschall officiating.
