ELLEN ELAINE HIGH SUNKEL age 61, of 377 Mellie Clayton Road, Roxboro, NC died Wednesday night, October 30, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Sunkel was born January 24, 1958 in Durham County, NC, daughter of the late Curtis High & Mildred Alretta Walker High. She had worked at various places as a clerk and was a member of First Pentecostal Church.

Ellen enjoyed church, fishing, crocheting, and visiting with family and friends.

Surviving are three children, Timmy Matthews of Roxboro, NC, Nicholas McMann, Paula Matthews both of New York, sister, Phyllis Freeman of Roxboro, NC, two brothers, Wade High of TN, Leonard High of Durham, NC, and four grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sunkel is preceded in death by two brothers, Gene High, and Ralph High.

No services are planned at this time.
