Ella Dean (Whitt) Redd

ELLA DEAN WHITT REDD age 80, of Roxboro, NC passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Roxboro Assisted Living.  Born January 23, 1946 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Perry Frank & Louvenia Poole Whitt. She was retired from Collins & Aikman Corp. and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Ella loved butterflies, flower gardening, and cooking & baking.  

Surviving are a son, Jason Redd, granddaughter, Courtney Bowes, great-granddaughter, Courtlynn Durden, sister, Betty W. Terrell, sister-in-law, Mary Anice Redd, companion, Bobby Dunn, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Redd is preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Denise Redd, sisters, Christine W. Overby, Mary W. Bowes, Sally W. Davis, Rosetta W. Slaughter, and brothers, Romie Whitt, and Otha Whitt.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Matthew Wilmoth officiating.
