EDGAR LOUIE “BUD” HALL, age 85, a resident of Cambridge Hills and formerly of Lily Lane, Roxboro, NC died Saturday night, August 8, 2020 at Roxboro Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Hall was born January 5, 1935 in Person County, NC, son of the late William Bethel Hall & Mary Harris Hall and was wife of 15 years to Ann Harris Hall who survives. He was retired from UNC Memorial Hospital after 30 years of service, was a member of Theresa Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Army where he served during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Amanda H. Phelps & husband, Chris of Roxboro, NC, Crystal H. Clayton & husband, Dwayne of Timberlake, NC, Scott Hall of Greensboro, NC, four grandchildren, Justin Phelps, Jacob Phelps, Jared Phelps, Michael Clayton, two great grandchildren, Jaxn Reed, Jaden Phelps, brother, Martin Hall & wife, Frances of Leland, NC, sister, Mary Virginia “Jimmie” Johnson of Lansing, NC, two step-children, Julie Gupton Parkinson of St. Augustine, Fl, and Keith Freeman of Raleigh, NC.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2020 at Theresa Baptist Church with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating. The family will receive friends and guests from 5:30 till 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Chris and Amanda Phelps, 1160 Country Club Road, Roxboro, NC.
In addition to his parents Mr. Hall is preceded in death by infant twin daughters, Wendy & Wanda Hall, two brothers, Bill Hall, John Hall, and six sisters, Nannie Lou Pappas, Christine H. Cole, Maxine H. Crabtree, Esther H. Robertson, Ethel H. Denny, and Ruby H. Bullock.
The family would like to thank the staff of Cambridge Hills Assisted Living for the excellent care given to Bud during his three-year stay.
