DORIS DEAN “DOT” TUCK PERKINS THOMPSON, age 86, of Timberlake, NC went to her heavenly home Thursday morning, May 8, 2025. She passed peacefully at the Hock Family Pavilion with her family by her side.
Mrs. Thompson was born February 13, 1939 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Joseph Tuck, Sr. & Eva Wagner Tuck and was wife of the late Robert Nelson Perkins, and the late Linwood Harold Thompson. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Doris was an excellent seamstress. Her talent of sewing was a God given gift. She could sew evening gowns for family & friends without a pattern which were more beautiful than any store-bought gown. She enjoyed having a good laugh with friends & family. She was a vivid cat & dog person, especially her Yorkie, Gidget. Doris enjoyed Gospel music. The holidays were very special to her, she enjoyed decorating and spending time with family.
Surviving are two children, Michael Anthony Perkins & wife, Debbie, Lisa Carol Thompson, grandchildren, Sandy Whitlow Cole, Robbie Gentry & wife, Elizabeth, Jennifer Ann Perkins, LaDean Perkins Forsyth & husband, Logan, Brandon Robert de Friess, Kevin Hawkins & wife, Brandi, fifteen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, step-children, Curtis Thompson & wife, Clara, and Karen Thompson Riley & husband, Tony.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by, brothers, Joseph “Joe” Tuck, Jr., Bernard “Red” Tuck, children, Ronald Perkins, David Perkins, Geraldine Perkins, Lillian Ann Perkins Howerton, and Lorene Perkins Gentry Fox.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Philip Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Wheelers Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2025 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Collin Davis, Dalton Davis, Jim Davis, Tristan Davis, Lonnie Hall, and Larry Simmons.
Michael and Lisa thanks the Davis family for all of their support and love given to Doris over the years.
