DORIS ELLEN OAKLEY ADCOCK age 72, of 11111 Oxford Road, Rougemont, NC passed away Monday morning, June 1, 2026 at Roxboro Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. Born September 14, 1953 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Flint Talmadge Oakley & Stella Ruth Davis Oakley. She was retired from Nor Tel, and was of the Baptist faith.
Doris enjoyed bluegrass music, short trips with her late brother Fred, visiting with family & friends, and was a dedicated daughter.
Surviving are a daughter, Tracy E. Adcock, two brothers, Talmadge Oakley, Bobby Oakley & wife Stephanie, sister, Jean O. Clayton & husband Bunnie, nephews, Jason Clayton & wife, Diana, nieces, Jenise C. Brann & husband, Chris, Tammy Miller & husband, Robert, and several great nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adcock is preceded in death by two brothers, Winfred Oakley, Fred L. Oakley, nephew, Tommy Oakley and her grand-cat, T.J.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with John Hazel officiating. The family will receive friends and guests from 3:00 till 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
