Donald "Donnie" Ray Carter

DONALD RAY “DONNIE” CARTER, age 71, of Roxboro, NC passed away Tuesday morning, December 30, 2025 at the Hock Family Pavilion. Born July 31, 1954 in Person Co., NC, son of Arnold Wilson Carter and the late Betty Lou Clark Lowery and was husband of 51 years to Betty Jean Glasscock Carter who survives.  He was retired from Pike Electric after 33 years and was of the Baptist faith.

Donnie, also known by his friends as Lucy, enjoyed fishing at the coast, golfing, NASCAR, riding his motorcycle, and was an avid Carolina fan.

Surviving in addition to his father and wife are a son, Brian Carter, three grandchildren, Kaylee Magin, Melinda Melton & husband, Trevor, Nicholas Magin, brother, Doug Carter & wife, Tina, sister, Doris Wilson & husband, David, and a host of nieces & nephews.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Carter is preceded in death by a daughter, Brandi Carter Magin, and a brother, Ronnie Carter.

Honoring Donnie’s wishes, no services will be planned.
