DONALD WAYNE TINGEN age 58, of 308 Knolls of Hyco Road, Roxboro, NC passed away Monday night, May 1, 2023 at Person Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Tingen was born November 16, 1964 in Person County, NC, son of the late Louis Maness & Mabel Irene Saunders Tingen and was husband of nearly 34 years to Wendy Dee Long Tingen who survives. He was owner/operator of DTI and was of the Baptist faith.
Donald enjoyed spending time at Hyco Lake, hunting, listening to rock and roll music, playing Rook, spending time with his family and friends, and was an avid NC State Football fan and loved going to games and tailgating.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Austin Tingen of Wilmington, NC, Jordan Tingen & fiancée, Spencer Woody of Apex, NC, two sisters, Karen Tingen, Cheryl T. Gentry & husband, Robert all of Roxboro, NC, father-in-law & mother-in-law, Rollie Dee & Linda Long.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Tingen is preceded in death by a brother, Louis Maness Tingen, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be Darin DiBenedetto,Tanner Kendrick Zack Long, Daniel Marro, Jordan Riggsbee, Jerry Silvestri, Brandon Thomas, and Zach Whitley.
