Donald Lee Eastwood, Sr.

DONALD LEE EASTWOOD, SR., age 70, of, Burlington, NC passed away peacefully Monday night, June 17, 2024 surrounded by his wife, children, brothers, and sisters at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Eastwood was born July 20, 1953 in Person County, NC, son of the late Jamie Hysell Eastwood, Sr. & Louise Gates Eastwood and was husband of nearly 5 years to Bertha Poteat Eastwood who survives.  He was employed with Impex Auto in Greensboro, NC.  He worked at Alsco for 38 years until their closing and then worked at Cambridge Hills Assisted Living before moving to Burlington, and was of the Baptist faith.

Donald enjoyed trips to the beach and mountains, visiting Dollywood, and racing.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Angela Eastwood Ocilka & husband, Chris of Cary, NC, Donald Lee Eastwood, Jr., Jamie Wade Eastwood & wife, Kristina all of Roxboro, NC, step-daughter, Toni Paylor of Grants Pass, OR, four grandchildren, Lina Ocilka, Bayleigh Ocilka, Noah Eastwood, Brayleigh Eastwood, step-granddaughter, McKenzie Chandler, brothers, Tommy W. Eastwood & wife, Tammy of Roxboro, NC, Steve W. Eastwood & husband, Ben of Lillington, NC, Kent D. Eastwood & wife, Cammie of Durham, NC, sisters, Beverly E. Laws & husband, Brad of Roxboro, NC, Betty E. Harvey & husband, Bob of Clinton, NC, Susan E. Hamer & husband, Richard of Raleigh, NC, and Barbara E. Carr & husband, Reggie of Roxboro, NC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Eastwood is preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Monica Leigh Wade Eastwood, granddaughter, Kiersten Ocilka, brothers, Jamie Hysell Eastwood, Jr., William Wiley Eastwood, sisters, Nelda Eastwood Griffin, Janice Eastwood Palmer, nephews, David Maurice Griffin, Jr., and Daryl Matthew Griffin.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Brad Wesley officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests from 12:00 till 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
